AI-first software development means designing every layer of a system — its data models, workflows, APIs, and interfaces — with intelligence as a core capability from day one. Legacy software was designed around fixed business rules and human-in-the-loop processes. Our team includes practitioners who have worked inside government — which means we understand ministerial approval cycles, legacy system dependencies, and whole-of-government data policies before we write a single line of code. We provide documentation, change management support, and architecture artefacts that satisfy standard gateway reviews.

A typical engagement runs between three and nine months from discovery to live system, depending on complexity. We start every engagement with a two-to-four week discovery and modelling phase that produces a clear architecture brief and outcome model — so there are no surprises mid-delivery. Smaller integrations and automation projects can reach production within six to ten weeks. Large platform builds for government agencies typically run six to twelve months including procurement, stakeholder alignment, and staged rollout.

Yes. Following the discovery and modelling phase, we offer fixed-scope, fixed-price delivery where the requirements are well-defined. For engagements where the scope is exploratory or likely to evolve — common in AI projects — we structure work as time-and-materials with defined review gates and outcome milestones. We will always be clear about which model applies before work begins.
